The agreement between you and Rep. Plain words, on purpose.
Last updated October 14, 2026
Rep is a record of deals between people, made by the people themselves: both sign each deal with their phones, rate each other, and can report a problem. It helps you decide who to deal with. It isn’t a marketplace, a payment service or an escrow, and it isn’t a guarantee about any person or item.
A signed deal is a record of what you both agreed. The deal itself, the item, the payment and any promise are between the two of you. We’re not a party to it, and we don’t inspect items, hold money or collect debts. If something goes wrong, report it here, and use the courts, the police or a consumer office as you would for any deal.
We can suspend a Rep for fake accounts or deals, proven fraud, fake or edited evidence, false reports, threats, harassment, extortion, buying or selling ratings, or posting someone’s personal information. A suspended Rep shows as red. Serious cases may be reported to the police.
What you add (claims, photos, recordings, ratings, replies) stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people these terms allow, so the service can work. You’re responsible for having the right to share it.
We run the service with care, but we provide it as it is. We don’t promise that a person is honest, that an item is as described, or that the service is always available. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses from a deal with another person, or for anything beyond what you paid us, which during the pilot is nothing. Nothing here limits rights that Ontario or Canadian consumer law gives you and that can’t be waived.
How we handle your information is in the privacy policy. If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll say so on this page and by email, and you can delete your Rep if you don’t agree. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada.
